Precautions & Aftercare

The precautions and aftercare section of our services serves as a helpful reference tool to aid in your recovery.

As aftercare plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and speedy recovery, we recommend utilizing the brochure as a guide. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Lienjang.

Facial Botox

Botox and Skin Botox treatment effects on the forehead, eye area, and other areas appear 7~14 days after the treatment and last about 3 months.
May feel sore or weak in the treated area.
Avoid tough foods for 2~3 days after the treatment.
It is normal to feel slightly uncomfortable for 3 weeks after the Botox procedure for dynamic wrinkles (your facial expressions might temporarily feel awkward or slightly heavy). If any noticeable facial asymmetry occurs after the Botox treatment, please contact Lienjang.
After your procedure, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or bruising which should subside within 1~2 weeks.
After your botox procedure, gentle facial cleansing and light makeup are possible. However, for skin botox procedures, cleansing and makeup are possible the day after.
For the next 7 days, please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, massaging the treated area, and intense physical activities.
For clients visiting from abroad, please be advised that follow-ups may be challenging as we require in-person assessment.

Body Botox

The results/effects of Botox injections on the jaw, calves, and other areas typically become visible within 2-4 weeks after the treatment and can last for approximately 3-6 months.
May feel sore or weak in the treated area.
After your procedure, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or bruising which should subside within 1~2 weeks.
After calf-slimming botox, please try to avoid wearing high heels. *Please ask your consultant for further details.
After trapezius-slimming botox, please try to avoid lifting heavy objects. *Please ask your consultant for further details.
For the next 7 days, please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, massaging the treated area, and intense physical activities.
For clients visiting from abroad, please be advised that follow-ups may be challenging as we require in-person assessment.

Fillers

Please avoid applying pressure or massaging the treated area for 2-3 days.
After your nose filler procedure, avoid wearing sunglasses or eyeglasses for the next 7 ~ 14 days.
After your procedure, the treated area may temporarily feel uneven, but will naturally smooth out within 1-2 weeks.
Please avoid cleansing or applying makeup for 2-3 hours after the procedure.
Touch-up procedures are available within 3 weeks after the treatment, depending on the treated area (nose, aegyo-sal, lips, under-eye area, necklines). Additional charges may apply.
Filler injections may cause bruising, swelling, inflammation, infection, vascular infarction, allergic reactions, or lumps (which should subside within 1-2 weeks). If you experience symptoms such as severe pain, color changes, black scabs, vision changes, or other severe symptoms, please contact the clinic immediately!
For the next 7 days, please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, massaging the treated area, and intense physical activities.
For clients visiting from abroad, please be advised that follow-ups may be challenging as we require in-person assessment.

Thread Lifting (Aesthetic Center)

After your procedure, avoid washing your face on the day of the procedure. You can resume face wash (and light makeup) the following day, but please remember to do so very gently. (Do not rub or press on the treated area for 2-3 days.)
After your procedure, you may experience temporary bruising, swelling, or soreness which should subside within approximately 2~4 weeks.
Please avoid tough foods, and avoid opening your mouth too wide for about a week.
Applying pressure or massaging the face and other similar intense stimulations can be performed one month after the procedure (or after 6 months for omega and mint threads).
In rare cases (for Ultra threads), the thread may come out. Feel free to visit our clinic for a follow-up, (If you're in Korea)! However, you can also remove it yourself with tweezers.
You may experience a tingling or itching sensation when touching the treated area. However, please refrain from scratching the treated area (as these symptoms will naturally subside over time).
Apply regenerating and moisturizing cream at any time to keep your skin hydrated and promote healing.
After the procedure, please avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen frequently for 2-3 days.
Avoid going to saunas, baths, and engaging in physical activities that causes heavy sweating for at least one week after the procedure.
After the procedure, refrain from smoking or consuming alcohol for at least two weeks.

Face and Body Fat Dissolving Injections

Allergic reactions to the medication are rare but possible in some cases. Bruising and swelling may also occur.
Avoid high-fat and spicy foods. (As fat dissolving injections help improve lymph fluid circulation)
Visible results typically show within 3~7 days after the treatment. For more noticeable results, it will usually take 3~6 treatment sessions every week. (or every 1~2 weeks for body injections). The duration of results and maintenance may vary based on an individual's eating habits and fat volume.
It is important to note that these injections are not a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise. Results may vary depending on the individual.
After your procedure, you might experience warmth, swelling, or bruising on the treated area, which should subside within 1-3 weeks.
Temporary tingling, palpitations, or dizziness may occur, but they typically fade within a few days.
After the procedure, changes in menstrual flow and cycle may arise, but they will naturally fade.
After facial contouring injections, you can shower 4 hours later. After body contouring injections, you can shower the next day.
Applying cold compression after the procedure can help to reduce swelling.
Hydrate yourself adequately afterward.
For the next 7 days, please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, massaging the treated area, and intense physical activities.

Laser Skin Treatments (Pigmentation, Acne, Skin tone, etc.)

After your procedure, you may experience a tingling sensation, redness, swelling, or itching, which should subside within 1-2 weeks.
In some rare cases, slight pigmentation may remain on the skin.
After the treatment, please avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen frequently for 2-3 days.
If you notice your skin scabbing or flaking, please refrain from touching the area and let your skin naturally heal.
The treatment process can irritate sebum glands and cause allergic reactions, pimples, or itching.
Facial cleansing is possible the day after the procedure. Please refrain from using cosmetic products such as brightening or wrinkle-improving products for 1 week.
May experience dry skin temporarily. We recommend staying well-hydrated and using adequate moisturizing cream after.
Please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and hot baths for the next 3-7 days.

HIFU Lifting Treatments (Shurink, Liftera, Ultherapy, etc.)

After your procedure, you may experience redness, warmth, tingling, or swelling on the treated area which should subside within 1-2 weeks.
Bruising & swelling may occur on the treated area or bumps that usually subside within 2~4 weeks.
The treatment process can irritate sebum glands and cause allergic reactions, pimples, or itching.
Face washing is allowed on the same day after the procedure. However, Avoid exfoliating or using scrub products on your skin for 1 week.
After the procedure, please avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen frequently for 2-3 days.
May experience dry skin temporarily. We recommend staying hydrated and using adequate moisturizing cream after.
For the next 7 days, refrain from alcohol, smoking, saunas, and hot baths.

RF Lifting Treatments (InMode, Thermage FLX, Oligio, etc.)

After your procedure, you may experience redness, warmth, tingling, or swelling on the treated area which should subside within 1-2 weeks.
Bruising & swelling may occur on the treated area or bumps that usually subside within 2~4 weeks.
The treatment process can irritate sebum glands and cause allergic reactions, pimples, or itching.
Face washing is allowed on the same day after the procedure. However, Avoid exfoliating or using scrub products on your skin for 1 week.
After the procedure, please avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen frequently for 2-3 days.
May experience dry skin temporarily. We recommend staying hydrated and using adequate moisturizing cream after.
For the next 7 days, refrain from alcohol, smoking, saunas, and hot baths.

Skin Boosters (Skin Injections & MTS Microneedling Procedures)

After your procedure, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or bruising which should subside within 1~2 weeks.
Applying sunscreen when going out is mandatory. Sunscreen can be applied 2 hours after microneedling procedures. Please try to avoid direct sunlight after the procedure and remember to apply sunscreen for 2-3 days.
Needle marks or bruising may occur on the treated area as treatment uses a needle. Temporary embossing (small bumps) may also appear on the skin.
The treatment process can irritate sebum glands and cause allergic reactions, pimples, or itching.
After your procedure, avoid applying pressure or touching the treated area for 2-3 days.
Face washing is allowed on the same day after the procedure. Gently wash the face with lukewarm water only and refrain from using any cleansers.
Avoid exfoliating (peeling) or intense skin stimulation after any of the treatments.
May experience dry skin temporarily. Frequently apply moisturizer and regenerating cream after the treatment.
For the next 3~7 days, please avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas, and intense physical activities.

Laser Hair Removal

After the procedure, you may experience redness or pigmentation changes on the treated area which should subside within approximately 1-2 weeks.
Any remaining hair will gradually fall out over 1-2 days after the procedure.
During the treatment period, please avoid waxing, sunbathing, tanning, or any hair-plucking activities.
Showering, facial cleansing, and makeup are possible on the same day of the procedure.
We recommend applying moisturizing cream on the area after.
After the procedure, please avoid direct sunlight and apply sunscreen frequently for 2-3 days.
For the next 7 days, refrain from alcohol, smoking, saunas, and hot baths.

Before the treatment:
Please note that it is important to have the treatment area cleanly shaved within 1-2 days before your appointment. We do not recommend using electric razors as they may leave the hair too long. Please refrain from tweezing, waxing, or plucking the area being treated between or before sessions. As the laser targets the hair roots, plucking / tweezing / waxing may remove the roots.
The treatment area should be free from makeup, lotion, deodorant, and sunscreen before the session. For the desired permanent effect, it generally takes around 10 sessions with intervals of 4 to 6 weeks between each session. However, please note that the effects may vary for each individual.
The effectiveness of the laser hair removal device may vary based on skin tone and hair color. We recommend scheduling a consultation with our experts to determine the suitability of the treatment for your specific skin tone and hair color.

Semi-Permanent Makeup

Cleansing and makeup are possible on the same day of the procedure, but please avoid the treated area.
Ensure that the treated area doesn't come into contact with water. From the 7th day onwards, you can gently cleanse the area with cold water.
Please avoid alcohol and smoking for 24 hours after the procedure.
After the procedure, please refrain from scratching or rubbing the treated area *Please ask your consultant for further details.
To prevent the treated area from irritation, after the procedure avoid activities such as visiting saunas, swimming, and sports that cause excessive sweating for 1 week.
For those who have undergone an eyebrow procedure, please apply Vaseline for at least 1 week on the eyebrows. Apply Vaseline after washing as it helps the pigment to tint more.
You may start wearing makeup after 1 week. Keep in mind, it is normal for the surrounding skin to feel hard.
Allow the dead skin to naturally flake off; it will typically occur after 3 to 4 days.
Touch-up should be done after 4 weeks. If the retouching period has been exceeded, additional costs may occur. Please make a reservation for your retouch in advance.
Whenever you feel that the treated area is dry, please apply the ointment regularly.
For 7 days, avoid alcohol and smoking. For 14 days, avoid saunas, steam rooms, and strenuous exercise.
Hairline: Avoid using hair conditioner, treatment, or hair mask for 3 days. Dry your hair with cold air until the skin stops flaking.
Lips: Avoid consuming spicy and saucy foods that can stick around your mouth. Use a straw when drinking water or juice. Pain and/or blister reactions around the lips may occur; applying or taking medication can help alleviate these symptoms. It is recommended to undergo multiple sessions of the procedure for better results.

Most frequently asked questions after aesthetic procedures. (Not including Surgical procedures)

When can I wash my face?

Face washing after any of our aesthetic procedures on the same day is allowed! However, for microneedling procedures, it is recommended to wash the face with lukewarm water only and refrain from using any cleansers.

When can I resume daily activities?

Daily activities after procedures can generally resume right after.

However, for invasive treatments, including injectables and lasers, we recommend refraining from consuming alcohol and engaging in strenuous exercise.

After your procedures, please remember to follow the appropriate skincare routine, which includes applying sunscreen and moisturizers.

Will I bruise after treatment?

It varies depending on the treatment! However, please keep in mind that bruising is possible after any invasive treatment, such as injectables and laser.

When can I apply makeup?

Generally, we do not recommend applying makeup immediately after any of our procedures. While the specific timeframe may vary depending on the procedure, we generally advise allowing at least a day for your skin to rest before applying makeup.

Please note that this recommendation does not apply to surgical procedures or semi-permanent makeup procedures.
